Ultrasound World V (2009) Ultrasound World V Program Abstracts
Presentation: Generating Savings from an Ultrasound Inspection Program Presenters: Dean Wolever, and Lloyd Hopper, Herman Miller Inc. Abstract: Ultrasound inspection paid for itself the first time we used it to locate a welding gas leak. This presentation will cover our one-year plus utilization of the technology to locate compressed gas and welding gas leaks. We will also discuss our predictive maintenance program, which integrates ultrasound & infrared technologies for identifying faulty bearings and electric problems. To date we have demonstrated a savings of $250,000 in leaks alone. A video presentation will be included to show various inspection techniques. In addition we will explain how we use Maximo CMMS software to create PMs for ultrasound.
