Keynote Presentation: The Hidden Factory - Find Additional Capacity From Existing Assets Keynote Speaker: Mike Aroney, Principal Advisor, GP Allied, LLC
Abstract: "Nothing was missing, but we found three more" using technology, process, and people.
Predictive technologies can be an enabler to finding the "hidden factory", in other words, additional capacity from existing assets. A proactive maintenance strategy provides the right mix between time-based maintenance and predictive-based maintenance to attain and sustain a very high level of asset health as defined by the percentage of equipment with zero identifiable defects.
Technology, however, is only part of the solution. What happens to information obtained through predictive technologies is the other part of the solution. This part involves the organization's process and culture. All three can have dramatic effect in releasing the hidden capacity of existing assets.
This presentation tells how the combination of technology, process, and people found extra capacity from U.S. Navy airplanes and ships.
