Where are you from and what did you study in school?
Ahmed: I consider myself the descendent of the greatest civilization the whole world has witnessed: Egypt. My field of study was Mechanical Engineering.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Ahmed: Wide blue sea, salty fresh air, a humble boat, and my fishing rod.
What jobs did you have before working with UE Systems?
Ahmed: Reliability services and sales engineer
What was your first impression of the maintenance & reliability community?
Ahmed: It’s the community where people learn for life, for once stuck there, you either learn and keep up to date or you’re out of the game!
What’s surprised you most about what you could do with ultrasound technology?
Ahmed: Curious to know whether this technology works on bats or not, I had to scan a place where bats were flapping their wings! Surprisingly enough, I got to hear each movement.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Ahmed: Speaking all the languages!
Where is a destination that you hope to get to?
Ahmed: The land of Pizza and Pasta!

What’s your best childhood memory?
Ahmed: Summer holidays, when I used to travel with my cousins.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Ahmed: Never be lazy to go the extra mile, for this always pays off!
