Where are you from and what did you study in school?
Peter: I’m from the Netherlands, and my background is mechanical Engineering.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Peter: I like to ride on my racing bicycle and mountain bike and fitness.
What jobs did you have before working with UE Systems?
Peter: I used to work as a senior NDT inspector.
What was your first impression of the maintenance & reliability community?
Peter: Maintenance and reliability is a very important part of the industrialized world. And Communities makes it more clear to the world! So very happy!
What’s surprised you most about what you could do with ultrasound technology?
Peter: Yes absolutely! I used to work with ultrasound, but that was a different part of the ultrasound. (pulse-echo). Ultrasound is the most versatile technology there is.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Peter: Well.. it’s not hidden.. but I’m very good at presenting for big audiences and small groups.
If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Peter: A movie star.
Where is a place you would like to visit?
Peter: Curacao.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, past or present, who would it be and why?
Peter: With our queen Maxima, she is beautiful, smart, and I think she is an amazing person. Our king is a lucky man!
What’s your best childhood memory?
Peter: The summer holidays with my brother and parents.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Peter: You need to listen better to what the people really say.

Peter: Haha this is no recommendation but by far the Terminator films!!
What is the most important thing you have learned while working with UE Systems?
Peter: The most important thing I learned while working with UE Systems is: If you want something Just get it done!
